We are proud to be the sole importers of Parsun Outboard motors into New Zealand. We visited the Parsun factory in May 2009 and were impressed with their factory. They have an extensive research and development department and a quality control system in place. Their factory is modern, professional and a credit to the founder of Parsun. We are looking forward to a very good relationship into our future, benefitting you, our customer.

In 1974 Parsun Power Machine Co. Ltd. was started in the city of Suzhou, China.  In 2006 Parsun joined as a joint business venture with USA company Mars Electric LLC (now called Motenergy). Now Parsun has patents in their own name and is a national high-tech company with high-tech products. In 2010 Parsun exported 80% of the Outboards from China. They are the No1 exporter of Outboard motors from China excluding Mercury.

Customers' satisfaction is their ultimate aim. Quality is their power, and Parsun brand is representing all of their hard work and efforts.

Parsun have increased their plant area to 25,000 sq metres and increased production to 5000 motors per month.  Quality inspection has been enhanced by setting up of a new lab which can test and measure outobards from 1hp - 150hp. 

Future Development

- to build up a new plant with 46,000 sq metres and production to 120,000 motors in 2011.
- In 2013 to be listed on the stock market, therefore developing better and quicker.

Parsun Outboard motors are engineered and designed for performance, reliability, durability, low maintenance and quiet, economical operation.

Parsun Outboards are Yamaha parts compatible, but parts are offered by Parsun Outboard Dealers at approximately half the cost.

We know that when you're out fishing or just exploring, for recreational or commercial use, you need an outboard engine that will get you back to shore safely every time.

You can feel secure with your outboards' limited outboard warranty program. Beyond that, if you should ever have a need all parts are available at a fraction of the cost of other manufacturers’ pricing in addition to the lowest outboard motor prices on quality outboards in the world.

The Parsun brand is on products that are designed and engineered by a North American high tech company, Mars Electric LLC, which is located in Wisconsin, USA.

Parsun patents have been registered and protected in USA and China.

Parsun brand has been registered and protected in USA, Canada and over 100 other countries.

The key technology, parts and materials are sourced in the USA, Canada, Japan and Germany.

Parsun products meet the latest USA EPA emissions standards, specifically EPA 2010, and latest Europe CE standards.

In USA and Canada Parsun has a free hotline 24/7 for technical support and service.

Similar to Mercury Marine, we have invested in Suzhou, China as a cost-effective plan to produce high volume products.

These are some very common misunderstandings from customers

1. Of all the countries in the world, only Japan and American can make outboards with a high level of quality, and therefore China is not a good choice for manufacturing

Parsun key technology, parts and materials are sourced from their USA partners.  Similar to Mercury Marine they have invested in Parsun as part of their cost-effective plan to produce high volume products.

2. All Chinese outboards have a low quality level similar to most other Chinese products

Answer

The investors are from the USA, Canada and Hong Kong and the key employees are from USA, Canada, Japan and China.  Parsun is a global company and is a US brand being made with China.

3. Sine Parsun outboards have a high level of quality all other Chinese outboards must also have good quality.

Answer

Parsun have applied the same quality standards as the other US brands, which includes meeting the USA EPA emissions standards and the latest European CE standards.  They are recognised by some of the most famous Chinese institutes, and this makes them very different from any other Chinese outboards.
